The Dorcas Circle makes items for church members, local nursing homes , the Butler Veterans Hospital, individuals in our community  and other local organizations.  Some items include walker and wheelchair tote bags, throw quilts, neck pillows, etc.    Special projects involve items for our Youth mission trips and some international missions.
​Any one from our  area who sews or has other non-sewing skills may participate and is welcome.

Dorcas was known as a charitable woman, who not only gave financially to those less fortunate, but also made clothing and other items for the poor.  She invested not only her funds, but time and effort (Acts 9:36-42).  As an extension of the Dorcas Circle is the "Caps for Kids" project.  This project provides hats for needy children.  In 2017, the women of this group were able to provide 370 hats for the "Caps for Kids"  program.

The Dorcas Circle is guided by this particular verse:  "Each of you should use whatever you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." ~1 Peter 4:10

We usually meet one morning a month from 9:30 to 11:00AM in the Fellowship Hall (New Location).  Most sewing items are made at home.   Times are flexible for special projects.
