We are a ministry designed to remember those church members who are no longer able to
attend Sunday worship and other church-related activities.
attend Sunday worship and other church-related activities.
The "We Care" ministry is a group of volunteers who reach out and interact with members of St. Peter's Reformed Church who are not able to attend worship services or be involved in the life of the church (either temporarily or permanently). The members of this ministry are encouraged to send cards, make telephone calls or visit anyone who needs uplifting or encouragement.
The visitation teams meet about 5 times a year to go and visit the shut-ins. Typically groups of two or three go to visit a church member together. These times always provide lots of fun and fellowship for everyone!
All members of St. Peter's are encouraged to be members of this ministry, showing that "We Care" as a church and God's love can be spread to our elderly, shut-in and ill members. Our purpose is to let each of them know that their church family truly loves and cares for them. "Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act." ~Proverbs 3:27
The members who receive visitation are generated by the church office, some by request and others by the church staff. If you or a loved one could benefit from this ministry, please contact Pam North.
